Life cycle

Life cycle art print of London's East End, treated as a homage to German artist Joseph Beuys with slim green rectangles across the black and white photo.

This black and white photo of a quiet  street scene was taken at a weekend in London, when many of the city's streets are deserted. Without the crowds, we're more aware of the city's built environment and its life cycle as it goes from new and busy to scruffy and quiet, before either renovation or demolition and the life cycle repeating.

It is one of a series that form a homage to German artist Joseph Beuys, translucent green bars mimicking the felt crosses that appear on many of his sculptures.
